Today we're going to unpack a workflow hack that is my absolute favorite way to structure the plan of my work week and also the weekend for that matter. I will definitely speak to that too, but I just find this so helpful because when it comes to, at least for myself, like trying to create a structure to budget and direct my time during my Monday through Friday workweek, my available working hours, I get a little bit of like blank canvas syndrome. And this hack of planning my week with the planets has been so helpful to one, create like a simplified way to categorize and organize the things that I need to make sure to get done every week. And two, is the most simple way for you to align your time and energy with the cosmic weather. So, you could track the transits, which honestly I don't really do. You could track the planetary ingresses, which I do highly recommend, but it's not as simple as this. And you could track the lunar cycles and arcs and rhythms of growth, which I also recommend as a business owner. But again, not as simple as this. So of those three that I highly recommend every business owner be tuned into to stay aligned with the shifting cosmic weather. This one is the simplest to know about and implement because it doesn't change. There is a planet that corresponds with each day of the week, and you can use those based on their theme, their focus, and what that translates to in your workflow and the list of tasks that you need to make sure you do on a weekly basis. And when you do this, not only is it a simple way to align with the cosmic tides, not only is it a simple structure to plan your week around, it's also one that just feels really aligned and magical and resonant, right? It's like this symbiosis of structure meets the invisible or the formlessness. And it's a way to embrace structure while still staying connected to those more magical, intuitive, invisible realms that make us feel so aligned. And I'm going to go through each of these and talk about what the planet symbolizes, what the theme or focus is and some examples that might be relevant to you and your workflow. But before I do, it's worth mentioning that just knowing what these planets are, you can also make it a ritual to tune into that planet to start your day. So however aligned or not the actual tasks are that you're going to do, which are suggestions I'm going to give you also just taking a moment to, you know, say what's up to mama Moon or Mars or Mercury, each day to tune into and activate the energy of that planet as part of the context and the energetic environment that you set. Or it could be a way for you to tune into that area and set an intention for your day and your workflow in alignment with that planet. So that's another way that you can work with these. I'm going to start off with Monday, the first day of the work week. Monday is Moon Day. And what's interesting about this is you might be thinking more logically, cognitively, in alignment with the culturally created start of the work week that you should hit the ground running, right? That after the weekend, Monday is the day to just blast into your to do list and just start getting as much done as possible. But what this system shows us is that Monday is actually meant to be a lot more chill. It's a day for you to settle into and get things set up so that your nervous system feels calm and you feel ready to then Tuesday hit the ground running and to do so on fire and ready to slay the day. So when it comes to the energy of the moon, we're looking at what makes us feel secure, centered, settled. And so we're talking about doing things that help you to feel like you've got your shit together basically, before you actually start diving into any tasks on day two of the work week. So some examples of this, the one that probably is the most obvious that's coming to mind is take Monday to create your to do list for the week to take stock of what you accomplished the previous week, what new things you want to add to your to do list, what things you got done. Basically, you know, taking a moment with that grand checklist, which for you could be in an app like Asana or ClickUp. It could be on paper, it could be, my personal favorite, on a whiteboard that I go and stand in front of and commune with and erase and add to. It could also include some other working document that you have that connects you with the bigger picture and bigger chapters and bigger cycles, like your quarterly plans or your yearly plans. And so taking a moment, not only to feel clear about what you're going to move into accomplishing over the course of the week, but also getting that even deeper sense of calm and relaxation and having your shit together on the grander scales by also making sure that when you choose those smaller tasks and to dos that they align with those bigger goals that you're trying to accomplish and making sure that not only are you including things that that are going to, you know, generate your weekly content or things that kind of are rinse and repeat, but that you're also including some things that are going to get you closer to meeting your bigger or more long term goals. And then on that note with this one It's worth also tuning into your bigger why or mission statement when you're in that regular ritual moon day space of tuning into your to do list. There's probably obvious logical backing to why you choose to do the things that you're going to do that need to get done, but it creates such a deeper and richer and more meaningful experience of our workflow as we move through it of our work week when we've also taken a moment to check in with that bigger why that bigger purpose that motivates and guides our work and to notice and feel into that connection of those little tasks with that bigger overarching strategy or mission that each little task should be part of enacting. And when we do that, we're actually infusing those tasks with that. And then when we actually go to move into doing them, we remember that kind of mental or emotional tag that we put on them. And so it creates more of a meaningful connection between us and those tasks. And it actually like brings more of us into those tasks when we're working on them. So that's the big picture overarching moon day thing that I would suggest you do is take some time to settle into and get clear about what the to do list is that you will then be entering into the rest of the week with. And along a similar vein, I also highly suggest, if you're a content creator, that you take some time on Mondays to get clear what your content plan is for the week. Do you have a theme for the week? Are there certain topics that you're going to touch on each day? Down to however granular and nuanced you might get with your content planning. If you batch create it, maybe there's some prep work or maybe you actually do the batch content creation on Mondays because that's one where if you don't have some kind of pre work or pre planning done around that. And you just have to, each day, wake up and decide and figure out what you're gonna post and create it and post it. If you're doing all of that in real time, for most of us, it takes a lot more mental energy and bandwidth than if we take some time first to feel prepared. And it also eliminates a lot of anxiety. Like, I know for me, if I don't have some kind of, content plan in place, I wake up feeling a little bit stressed out and it kind of like eats at me until I figure it out and do it. It ends up creating a much less chiller work day for me because I feel the pressure of that I need to create content and then I don't have any clue what it's going to be about yet. So a lot of that heaviness can be eliminated by having a content plan and Monday is the perfect day on Moon Day to do this because that's the day that if you're aligning with the moon, you are riding the wave of what can I do to prepare myself to feel the most at ease for the rest of my work week. So for a lot of us, having a content creation plan is a biggie. And then the last suggestion I want to make for Monday Moon Day is to check in with your money. This is one that I do myself, I teach my clients, and I've gotten so much positive feedback about this because it creates a foundation for the week of financial security. And to say this, I also need to redefine what financial security is, which is such a big part of how I support clients through my signature program, which is that it's actually a lot less about how much money you have, how much money you make, how much money you're profiting, anything about actual quantity. And it's more of, I guess you could say, a quality relationship with your money where you at least know where you're at. So regardless of what the situation is, when we're in a space of avoidance around that and we don't actually know, that creates a sense of uncertainty, can come with anxiety and a dysregulated nervous system. And for a lot of people that ends up being a compounding thing until they're finally willing to lean in long enough at first to do that work, to set up systems that make it then easy to drop in weekly with your money and have a little money date check in. So from where you sit now, that may feel like the ultimate daunting thing to do. And if that is what comes up for you when I bring this up, then you are especially a candidate to get to the point where this is something that you can do, because Money flow avoidance one of those giant elephants in the room that has impact and influence on you in ways that you don't even realize until you liberate yourself from it. And a healthy relationship with it is then being able to check in weekly, look at your bank account balances, do your weekly bookkeeping of categorizing expenses while they're still fresh in your mind, rather than going back and doing a whole year's worth when you go to doing your taxes and how stressful that is by contrast. And if you don't take it from me, you can hear it from my clients in my testimonial section that when you actually get to a point of being able to chill like and casually check in with your money on a weekly basis again ideally on Mondays is such a good day for it you bring in a chill factor into your business and the rest of your work week that is unlike any other space you could be crafting and creating and setting for your workflow. So those are my three suggestions for Monday Moon Day maybe you thought of something else that builds up and causes you stress and anxiety because of the avoidance that you have around it, that's going to be a good one for you to do on Mondays and just know that you're starting your work week out with that already checked off your list. It's like eating the frog. If you've heard that expression, if there's something that taunts you and daunts you at the same time, there is so much power in just doing that thing first, eating the frog, just getting it over with, and everything else feels easy and like smooth sailing by comparison as you move into the rest of your work week. Tuesday is Mars Day. Mars is the planet of fire and motivation and diving in headfirst, leaping off of the cliff like the fool, not bothering with needing to mentally understand or put a lot of detail or forethought(again, because you already did on Moonday) but on Tuesday, you want to be ready to just hit the ground running and just go. So Tuesday is a great day to one, do whatever for you is the most exciting for you in your business, right? If you took the time on Monday, Moonday to eat the frog, you did the thing that you're least excited about doing, got that out of the way, reward yourself and generate the momentum that will carry you through the rest of your week by doing that thing. So if you love creating graphics, that's one for me. If you love interacting with AI, I love having my little AI work sesh that gets my juices flowing. If you have a new project you need to start, Tuesday, Mars Day is the perfect day to do that because you have that NRE, like, new relationship, kind of like, crush energy, you know, the shiny object bliss and satisfaction that comes from getting to dive into something new, definitely do that on Tuesday. Or, if the reality of your situation is that there's not a whole lot currently that excites you about your work, do something that just gets your blood pumping. Start Tuesday off with like, a jog, or a workout, or a dance session. Something that gets you pumped up, if it's not what you're actually working on, to then generate that energy and apply it to whatever you have on your plate for Tuesdays. And also if that's you, Tuesday might be a good client day for you if you do one to one sessions or offer some kind of Voxer support, especially if you're a projector like me or somebody that really feeds off other people's energy, dedicating Tuesdays as one of your client days is a great idea to get you excited, to remind you why you're doing this through getting to see, feel, and experience and get the feedback from the impact that you're actually having on your clients. Wednesday is Mercury Day. This is the day that's all about communication and writing and getting your message across. So one, Wednesdays are a great day to write whatever copy you need to write for your next batch of content. So this would be a good day for you to write your newsletter, your post captions, a blog post. You're going to have Mercury on your side when it comes to writing. This is also a great day to schedule things to go out. So my newsletter, The Cosmic Current, goes out every Wednesday morning. And you may want to consider, as part of being aligned with the Wednesday Mercury Day vibes, to have some kind of message or transmission that goes out on a regular schedule on Wednesdays. Wednesdays are also a great day to get to inbox zero or take a little bit of time to chip away at clearing your inbox, to respond to any messages that you have waiting. One tip that I have for this is as you're going through your inbox periodically whenever you check it, whether that's daily or but if you're checking it at times that aren't the right time to respond, and if you want to plan to respond to the messages that are going to require a little bit of more of your time and presence on Wednesdays, as you're going through in real time, just flag them. I use Apple Mail and we have a color flag system. I just put a green flag on things that I know I need to circle back to and Wednesdays are a great day to go back and round up that flag inbox and make sure that you've responded to everything in there. Next up, Thursday is Jupiter day. This is the day of expansion and optimism. And whereas Mars was more of that, like fiery inspiration to take action and leap into your week, Jupiter day, Thursday is the day to learn or do or experience something that really gets you like excited and optimistic and connected with your bigger scale vision of where the efforts you're doing right now are taking you. So Thursdays are a great day to learn something new. Like I said, for me if I know there's a new app that I want to explore, I really get off on new tech tools. So Thursdays are a great day for that. If there's somebody that inspires you, somebody new that you've connected with in your socials, this would be a good day to go peruse their content and their digital realms so that you can get inspired and excited by their example of what's possible. Thursdays are also a great day for activities that are actually going to make scaling possible for you. So this could mean diving into certain efficiency tools like AI or things that help you with repurposing content or doing the backend organization to be able to bring on a team member, maybe working on your SOPs that make it possible for other people to support you more efficiently. Anything that clears things off your plate that are tedious or time consuming or otherwise don't inspire your genius. Things that you can clear off your plate or the things that you need to do to ultimately soon and eventually be able to clear those things off your plate so that you have more time for what does actually excite you and inspire you and to focus on your genius zone and the things that only you can do that other people couldn't do for you that you wouldn't be able to easily or in good conscience delegate to somebody else. And like I mentioned for Mars Day, Jupiter Day is also potentially a really good day for client interactions. So it works really well for a lot of people to have like Tuesday, Thursdays be their client days, because similar to on Tuesday, Mars Day, where interacting with other people helps get you fired up about why you're doing this and who you're helping. Similarly, Thursday, Jupiter Day you can do that too, right? You get inspired and lit up for what's possible when you're actually interacting with other people, helping provide transformations, and getting the feedback that ends up really amplifying your optimism and inspiration and excitement for the work that you're doing. And Friday is Venus Day. Venus is the planet of art and connection and aesthetics and self care, and all of the things that are both visually pleasing to you and are related to the ways that you create content from your world that is visually appeasing to other people. So one of the things that I love to do on Fridays is create graphics from my photo shoots. Friday would also be a great day to do a photo shoot. So whether that's the day that you plan a professional shoot or you reserve some time on Fridays to record b- roll content or take photos of you while you're working or outside. Fridays can definitely be a good day to get outside. Feel good. Feel the sun on your skin. Feel your connection with nature that charges you up and feels like a reward at the end of the work week. I also love on Fridays, every third Friday I go down the hill and I go do my chiropractic appointment. I get my nails done. I go work at a coffee shop and all of these things both make me feel great, but also get me out into the world and connecting with other people. So Fridays are also a great day to go have an in person IRL meet up with somebody, go have coffee or tea with somebody. These are a great day to meet with your coaches, your therapist, your best friend, anybody that offers you the reflection of support that is helpful for you. It's a great way to end the work week, to be able to recap and reflect on whatever's come to pass that week. So basically anything that helps you to feel lovely and connected and like your life and business is a work of art and you are like an art piece moving through it. And along that similar vein, Friday is a great day to recap on what you're grateful for from the week, who you're grateful for that you've gotten to interact with during the week, whether it's colleagues or clients or coaches. And to also take stock of how balanced you felt during the week. It's a good weekly day to check in with yourself around the different areas of your life and business that feel important to you. And to check in with how much time and effort and energy were you able to give to each of them and to set intentions for how you can continue to tweak things to get closer and closer to a sense of work life balance and balance between all the pieces within both. Venus day, the day of the scales is perfect for this. Then moving into the weekend, we have Saturn day and Sun day Saturn is the planet of responsibilities. Saturday is a great day to get your chores done, get your house cleaned up, do your laundry, run any errands that you need to do. Whatever has been weighing on you that hasn't gotten done in terms of non work responsibilities. Saturnday, Saturday is a great day to do those things. And there's beauty in that when you do, then you have Sunday left. The day of the sun, you, your center, what lights and charges you up. This is your day of rest, but also to do whatever it is that you do just for you. To help you feel charged up, fully decompressed and reset from the previous week and ready to take on the next work week, although chill at first with a nice little ramp up starting with Monday, Moon Day, before you hit the ground running again with Tuesday, Mars Day. I hope this was helpful. I'd be so curious to hear if this was something you already knew, if this was something you knew, but have never implemented, if you got certain ideas that came up when I was talking about these different themes of the planetary days of things that would be perfect in your workflow to dedicate to those days. Please reach out and let me know. This is a topic I love to geek out on. And I hope that you felt inspired by at least one of these things to integrate and implement into the corresponding day of your week so that you bring a little bit more intention and structure to the time that you have to spend on work or play or chores or whatever it is, and that you feel even more aligned with that choice because it's connected with the system that I love so much of the planetary days of the week.
