In today's episode, we're gonna talk about the big deal transition that just happened. That happens this time of year every year. This time it was on March 20th, and that is the transition into Aries season, which is the spring equinox if you're in the Northern hemisphere, the fall autumn Equinox if you're in the Southern hemisphere. It's also considered the New Year astrologically, which if you have been listening all season, the first episode that kicked off this season of Cosmic Coin Drop was about the Gregorian calendar new Year of January 1st and the astrological climate that initiates that. So today we're gonna talk about the actual astrological new year and what the archetypes, the vibe, the energy of this transition is because it actually is a lot more aligned with new beginnings than the transition that takes place on January 1st, which is still very much in the winter, sleepy vibes. So this is again, the start of spring in the Northern hemisphere. I'm going to talk about it as such with the spring themes of rebirth and renewal and this season and time of year that we are in right now that initiates this opportunity for rebirth, new beginnings, but also put it in the context of the transition from Pisces season into Aries season, which you know, it's great to know like what season you're in. This is one of the simplified transit things that I think everybody should know about just what Sun season you're in. This is a great way to understand the Wheel of the Year and the basically different like areas, motivations, parts of our lives that we cycle between so that we can give adequate attention and energy to each in succession as we make our way around the wheel. Now that said, it's super strategic from an alignment perspective to understand the span, the timeline of each of these seasons. However, what is even more powerful than that and simpler than that, is knowing what those cusps are, those days, those times when we're actually transitioning between the two, because that's when you are being encouraged and invited to change your focus, right? To adapt and shift along with the shifting from each star season. It is really helpful to know because we are creatures of habits. We have a tendency to settle into what's working, what's been working. But knowing when these moments are to transition and shift our focus is a really helpful nudge to stay aligned with the cosmic currents. When it comes to this one from Pisces season to Aries season, even though the wheel of the Zodiac is continuous, we are constantly spiraling through. So there really is no official ending or beginning. It is a continuous ongoing spiral circle. That said the transition from Pisces to Aries, if we had to pick an ending and beginning at least in how it feels for us to experience that transition, it is absolutely this one. And that's why we look at this as the astrological new year. Again, it's Equinox, so it's also really cool that we pass through this portal of equilibrium to start the new season. But I really wanna unpack why that transition from Pisces to Aries marks the lived experience, the phenomenon of endings and beginnings because it's really helpful to understand why this is the astrological new year, why we're closing the previous year, opening the next one, but also what this part of the wheel is that we experience over and over. Its like the foundations of ritual, right? Being able to take this ongoing expanse of time or spreading in all directions, experience of space, and create containers where we mindfully mark the opening and closing, the ending and beginning understanding that phenomenon through that we are able to intentionally show up for and engage and align our creative process with so that we are effectively co-creating with the universe. Understanding that through this transition from Pisces Energy to Aries is really helpful to understand how that works. First Pisces season, what we just transitioned out of. Obviously everybody experiences things differently, but some commonality around it is that it's a watery time, right? It's a time when we are less intrinsically able to take action, to make forward momentum and progress to start new things. These are all things that we're gonna talk about that we're in now with Aries season. But first we move through this Pisces season opportunity to really just like feel into ourselves, to reflect, to let go and surrender what's not working. Oftentimes, this comes through as a lot of emotion, a lot of feels that keep us from feeling really able to take action, right? We're stuck in our feels. It can also be a time of more like lethargy, low energy. I know for me, I mean there was contextual things, but I was in a bit of like a depression when it comes to my inspiration, my motivation, and a lot of times, as above, so below, as within, so without, we can have actual external factors that contribute to this. For me, I got really sick at the beginning of it, so that like completely took me out, basically felt like the universe's way of saying like,"yo rest". And I didn't have a choice about it. I had a fever for like a week. So that was the first thing that took me out. And then from there, along that vein of Pisces season, I just couldn't come out of it. Even after I was feeling better, I just felt like I was like drifting, stuck in a funk, didn't feel my connection to myself, my source energy, my motivation, there was just nothing there and I didn't force it'cause that's really what Pisces season asks of us, is just to surrender into what is. It's all part of the process that's preparing us for what's next and what's coming. And then from there I had the unfortunate tragedy of my kitty familiar getting hit by a car. It was very sad and put me into a grief place, really doesn't get more Pisces than that of connecting to the beyond through this attachment that I had to this wonderful kitty. And just feeling the floodgates open of grief and rawness in my heart space. You can't make this stuff up, all such a Pisces journey of just feeling anything but able to step up, take action. I actually took, as you know, a step away from content creation, took a break from the podcast last week, and I cannot tell you how different things feel now on the other side, but also how cleansed I feel. Pisces is a time and an opportunity to just let these things wash through, clear out whatever is like stagnant. Like I said, I went through a chapter of sickness and then depression and then grief and throughout that time, in the messy middle, I just didn't know how long it was gonna take. I mean, as an astrologer, I had an idea that come spring, come Aries season, come the return of the fire, I would start to feel my life force come back again and again, there's so much value in knowing when these transitions take place, because it's all about being able to roll with the changes and to adapt with the shifting energetic environment of that cosmic flow. And so knowing what shift is around the corner is really helpful, especially in times like these, right? Like I was literally drowning, throughout that whole Pisces season timeline, but there was a part of me that knew and was really able to just surrender to that process and trust that everything that was happening, was happening for a reason. Also, big Pisces themes, right? Of trusting in the beyond, trusting in what's beyond the visible veil that we're able to be super clearly, consciously aware of and connected with, and to really trust in the higher self, bigger picture, mystery in the beyond, that is part of what is animating and orchestrating this whole show. So, not to say that it's easy, there was a lot of emotion that came up through that time, but ultimately, I felt so much more able to surrender to that process. I can remember back when I was a teenager, before I was aware of astrology and these cycles and these shifting tides, where I would get stuck in things for a lot longer. I can remember going down and getting taken out and, for way more than a month. Not being aware of the shifting energetic climate and not moving and shifting with it. I would get stuck longer and a big part of those experiences when I was younger was on top of whatever I was actually experiencing and feeling and the depression or whatever state I was in, also like fear and anxiety around"is this gonna last forever?" It was this feeling that it would, and this whole other layer on top of what was actually going on of resistance to that it was going on, wishing it was different, trying to force it or change it instead of now as an astrologically aligned adult, being able to just ride those waves and settle into that process, knowing that it would shift. So firstly, I just want to reflect that in my experience and offer it with compassion to whatever your experience was and to be an example and a permission that to whatever extent you didn't allow yourself to fully feel and powered down and settle into whatever happened for you, that this comes around every year. And that you have an opportunity next year to be even more gentle and compassionate with yourself around whatever comes up during this time of year because often, there are things that challenge and confront us, and it is not a time to try and push through and produce and create anyway if you're not feeling it, because in my experience, part of what makes the Aries season comeback on the other side so powerful is allowing yourself to go through that Pisces death essentially and dissolving, so that you can be fully collapsed basically, fully aligned with the ending of your last cycle, fully surrendered to that so that you are freshly able to be rebirthed and reborn on the other side for Aries season. And before we transition to that energy, I just wanna break Pisces down to its parts. So with Pisces, obviously we're talking about the water element. We are also talking about the mutable mode, which I don't really like that language of fixed cardinal and mutable. It doesn't evoke much for me. I like to name them by the actual motion, movement, direction of energy moving that they are. So with mutable, we're talking about a spiral, dynamic, momentous movement between our inner and outer worlds, between us and the universe that we are co-creating with. So with Pisces, we're talking about the water dimension. So our feels, that kind of like wet, squishy place that feels more vulnerable. Where ultimately we're connecting with spirit, we're connecting beyond the veil through that ability to soften. And it makes me think of how water fills whatever container is available for it. It shape shifts based on the space available to it, right? So there's very much this magical space where we can transform and shape shift, that we are able to access through being connected with our emotions and our feelings and that portal through our inner world out into the beyond. And then so with that spiral dynamic movement of it's like the space where our emotions are able to connect us to something greater. The other thing that I wanna mention with this is Pisces is all about our connection with our purpose, like our bigger purpose that's guiding and motivating us to do our work in the world. So it's like how are the service, the offerings, how we're actually helping people and being of service in the earthly realm is inspired and motivated by a bigger purpose, that felt sense of purpose, of being on purpose. And it's worth mentioning that we move through these chapters, these star seasons, to have part of our ongoing growth, refining ourselves around how aligned we're able to be with each of these territories. So in the case of Pisces, I can tell you that for me, I just shared, I went through a time of sickness and depression and grief, and during that time, especially when I was in the like middle, kind of depressed part, I felt so disconnected from my sense of purpose, and it was a big part of why I was feeling the way I did. I could tell that my lack of motivation was because I was having doubts around and felt disconnected from that space, that Pisces energy of feeling the guidance of the meaning and the purpose of the work that I'm doing. I went through a spell of that and we can talk about how Pisces is all about your connection to your sense of purpose, but oftentimes it's a journey. It's a dark night of the soul that we have to go through of feeling separate from it to then rekindle, redefine and refeel, reconnect to what that is for us. And I can say that that was the case for me. So I implore you to reflect on over the last month, what was that for you? Did you go through some kind of a process of questioning or distancing yourself from a clear, connected, felt experience of what your purpose is. Did you have a moment of, or a many moments strung together of feeling less than connected? Feeling less than clear? And then how did that contribute to a breakthrough on the other side. And with Pisces it's not, like the Scorpio Phoenix rising from the ashes sense of rebirth. It's quieter, but something that shifted within you, around your relationship to and understanding of the purpose, the greater purpose that guides and motivates and inspires you in your work. And again, it's not always some fanfare, like Scorpio style transformation of your understanding of that thing. Oftentimes, and for me it was more just feeling and letting go and surrendering and offering up to the altar. Like what felt in the way of me being connected to my purpose. Certain frustrations that I've had around the engagement and receptivity post- pivot in my business and just acknowledging some of the patterns that I was holding in place stubbornly, you know, because I wasn't willing to just like, let it flow and let it go. Easy to say in a vague way. We each experienced this in our own way. But Pisces season is definitely a time of going through that kind of crucible. Oftentimes it's a feeling a disconnection or a blip in our connection to our life force energy, our guidance, our beyond what we can see, know, and understand, but that intuitive knowing that we are being guided, that we are doing the work that we are doing, meaningfully and on purpose, and so that we can reset that. Ultimately that is part of preparing us for the transition into Aries season. Which again, I have found that my ability to surrender more and more deeply into that Pisces process has been made possible by knowing that Aries season is around the corner and that I am going to experience a return of the fire, a rekindling of that flame within me, that is awaiting me on the other side of that journey and that experience and that willingness to move through those more watery, unsure, chaotic, emotional waters. So that's where we are now. We are now moved into Aries season, which again, we moved through that Pisces portal of just dissolving, letting go, reestablishing our connection to our guidance and support beyond what we can control. And then we move into this transition into Aries season, which Aries is outward moving fire. It is when suddenly we feel a changing of the guards, a shifting of the tide to wanting to start new projects, having the motivation and inspiration. I can tell you genuinely I am experiencing this shift in the recording of this episode, I'm at the very tail end of Pisces season, so we're not actually in that Aries fire yet, but that's part of the value of being aware of it coming. You start to feel the shift before it officially happens. You start to feel that fire starting to dry up the water and pull you out of that. A big part of the potency of that transition is how much did you let yourself let go? How much did you let yourself fall, dissolve, and surrender to the process that is delivering you through to this rebirth with Aries, we're talking about feeling again, inspired, motivated, wanting to take action, start new projects. Like it's that springtime energy. I'm picturing the flowers, the ferns that are like spiraling open and everything is reopening and rising and strengthening to meet the sun, and that is the part of the wheel that we are in now. So in case you are still stuck in whatever Pisces season brought you to and pulled you into, here is your reminder, your nudge that we have shifted gears and you will feel much more aligned if you allow yourself to shift with them, to align with them and start to, even if it's like baby steps, you don't need to rush the process, though with Aries, it's definitely the vibe of fools rush in, and that's okay too, of getting some things going again. Bringing some fresh life to old projects, starting new things. This is a great time to take inventory of everything that you achieved and accomplished last year during the last solar cycle and refreshing your to-do list. I have a whiteboard that I use and I actually just went through and erased the things that I've already done, redid it, have a fresh start around all of the things that I wanna move into accomplishing now with this lit up Aries fiery energy. And I mentioned before, it's Equinox that kicks off this shift. So Equinox is a time when we have equal day and night, dark and light, and we have that felt experience. It's subtle, but if you're paying attention, you feel, and so this is such a great example of it, transitioning from Pisces to Aries, fire and water. These feel like opposites in our lived experience. Right? Everything that I just described about what it's like to go through Pisces season and then this transition that we moved to with Aries season, we could potentially feel a little bit of energetic whiplash, they're so different, and we make that transition every year. But because we're moving through this yin yang, balanced, equal dark and light portal, it's not. It's inviting us not to feel it as whiplash, but to feel it as a sense of balance and a missing piece and a welcomed antidote and other side to bring in of the watery space we've been in. When you drown in water for too long, you crave the fire. You want the dryness and the heat to warm up and evaporate that watery space that we've been in. There's so many clues to this stuff when you get down to the basics of just meditating on fire and water, and then bringing in that angle of, with Pisces... it's that all encompassing water that connects us to the beyond, that informs us from the beyond, and that feedback loop that creates for us through our emotional body. And then with Aries, we move into the opposite of fire. But that outward rushing expression of suddenly feeling this rekindled flame, because we went through the Pisces process of reconnecting and reinforcing our relationship to where our motivation and inspiration comes from. So that then that Aries flame, that fire, that motivation, that inspiration it's like it's been reset. So it's even more powerful than it was before we entered into that Pisces season. This is your astrological reset. Whatever that looks like for you. It's a reason why of course we've all heard of spring cleaning, right? That's actually the first thing which I partly attribute to my Virgo moon. This is something that always works for me, but I can tell I'm coming out of a funk when I start to feel inspired to reorganize things. I actually spent a weekend, which was the shift for me that started to turn things around of completely going through everything in my kitchen. I went through all my cabinets and cleaned them out, switched where everything is, I moved my coffee bar to the other side of the kitchen and my like produce, fruits, and veggies display to the other side, just completely refreshed everything, so that's something that might work for you if you're still feeling a little bit stuck and stagnant. Don't force yourself to apply this energy where your mind thinks, where you hope and wish that it will go. So if you're, if you haven't been feeling motivated to do work projects, for example, switch gears, go clean your kitchen. You know, it's something that really works. Apply this energy somewhere that we can, that feels more frictionless. And then I can tell you that for me, I applied it to my kitchen. I started putting my focus there, kind of got my life force energy back, getting inspired to do that. And then right on the other side of that, suddenly I felt so motivated and inspired to work on projects that I had stepped away from to get back into content creation after deciding and announcing to take a week off from that. It really is good strategy and I highly suggest put it where it's easy to move it, and then from there it will just move into every other part of your life and it'll happen naturally without you forcing it. This is also again, a great time to do a seasonal review. Look back on the past of what you've accomplished, look at what the outliers are, get a really cleaned up and refreshed to-do list so that you can feel excited. Apply that excitement energy of Aries to what you have currently on your plate moving forward. Really like connect with what excites you about what is ahead is a good way to align with the fire energy of Aries season. And basically in whatever way feels compelling, inspiring, exciting to you, aim to apply this energy knowing that it's available to you. Leverage this energy to start new things again, or retackle old things that started to feel dead or boring, you now have access to this refreshed life force energy to apply to whatever it is that started to feel stale or stagnant. Revisit those things during Aries season. And of course it's worth mentioning that there is a beautiful overlay of the natural wheel of the year that we've been talking about this episode and the Gregorian calendar that the world commonly accepts as the business timeline that we align to, and that is that we do tax season during this natural transition. And I'm sure you've heard me talk about before, tax season is such an incredible opportunity. I know this is gonna sound crazy because most people's experience is dread and anxiety and overwhelm around this time of year. But it is truly an opportunity if you embrace it as such to close your last financial year. And it's kind of cool, right? It's like during the natural energetic cycle of the refresh of the new year, the new astrological year. This is when we actually do our tax return and close the last cycle. But the actual cycle that we're closing is the last calendar year. So y'all, these fit together. I mean, I could talk too about the tragedy and conspiracy of estranging, us from the natural cycles to use the artificially created ones, but let's not go there because the other thing that we can talk about, the other angle that we can look at is these really do fit together nicely. And so, don't let this season pass without getting caught up in your taxes. This is one of those things, if you avoid it, which so many people do, embrace this Aries energy. If you have not reached out yet to a tax preparer to support you to get current with your taxes, ride the waves of this fire, reach out, do the thing. I have an excellent referral. If you don't know anyone already, you can go to cosmicb.link/taxes and go and request your meeting with my stellar referral. Let this be one of those things that you tackle if you are typically in avoidance now that we have moved into the motivating fire of Aries season. I cannot recommend that highly enough. Now is the time. And if that process makes you realize that you have not been on top of things and that neglect is making this time harder than it needs to be for you, you know I have resources to help you with that. Reach out. Let's talk about what would most benefit and support you. But now is definitely the time to make peace and amends with whatever the past experiences with money, lived experiences of wounds, path of healing that you're on when it comes to your relationship with your money flow. This transition from Pisces to Aries is like a jumpstart, kickstart kind of opportunity for you to make some moves and make some progress there. So first things first, get current on your taxes, but after that, I would love to support you if you are open to shifting how this happens for you every cycle, so that this time next year, next astrological new year, you can feel totally different. It can be a 180 to what most people's experience is of feeling on top of your game, getting done early and getting to focus this energy on other things that are actually more exciting to you, although it is very beneficial to leverage for that tax time scramble, I would love for it to be different for you and not feel super stressful, and get to apply this Aries fire to something that actually gets your juices flowing. And with that, I hope that this astrological new year, this airy season, energy connects you with everything that you're needing to bring the balance to whatever you experience during Pisces season, and that you truly feel inspired and motivated to move forward into everything that you are intending into this next astro year.
