You've lit up the fire, you've learned how to feel. You've cleared out the clutter, let your systems be real. But growth needs more than just passion and flow, it needs somewhere steady, for roots to grow. Without solid soil, the seed can't stay, it dries or it drifts, it's pulled away. Structure's not a cage, it's the ground that holds. The seeds and the seasons your future unfolds. It's the quiet safety that lets you expand, the map, the marker, the piece of land. So if you're ready to grow without fear of the fall, let's lay the foundation that can hold it all. This is the fourth in the elemental series. We kicked it off with fire to spark your strategy, then moved into water to deepen your connection, then air gave your mind space and your systems to breathe, and now we arrive at Earth. The element that takes all that movement and turns it into something sustainable and something that can hold and support you. This is the part of your money practice that builds the container, holds the vision, and makes sure that what you're planting can actually grow. A lot of entrepreneurs that come to me resist earth because they fear that structure will limit their freedom. They're soul inspired, they're connected to their creativity, and the last thing they want is something that's going to snub that out to get too 3D, too grounded, and to embrace structure, so much so that things feel rigid, they feel trapped, and they're not able to free flow with their creativity and their inspiration. But the thing about the earth element is, first of all, it is so needed to bring balance to exactly these people, and probably you if you're listening, that's because Earth knows that safety, responsibility, and consistency are what actually let you go bigger without losing what matters. In this episode, we're going to talk about why structure is not the enemy of freedom and how it's actually the container that creates it. How taking full responsibility opens the door to more magic, not less. My Saturn return story, which is about a time when I traded the swirl for stability and how it actually made my magic stronger. Playing by the rules of the 3D world, so you can win your own game. And the seasons and cycles as your constant and how aligning with them gives you something you can really build on. So first up, why structure is not the enemy of freedom, but is in fact the container that creates it. There's a false belief that is all too common in the creative, magical, soul aligned community, which is that if you put structure in place, you will lose your flow. Because flow is essentially this amorphous, structureless, open, free flowing thing. The thing is, however, that without structure, your flow can't be directed. It spills out, it gets lost, it evaporates, it disperses. Choose your visual that lands with the metaphor that makes the most sense for you, but structure is absolutely necessary to intentionally channel your flow so that it can align with and support your intentions. In this way, earth teaches us that freedom actually needs form. Think of it, and I'll bring in this metaphor, one that if you've been here a while, you know I love so much. Think of the metaphor of a river. It's banks don't limit it, they give it direction and force, they create the possibility of momentum. But not only that, it literally wouldn't be a river if it didn't have those banks to contain it. When we bring this into the money realm, similarly, without structure, you're always reacting to what's in your account instead of intentionally directing it. This is why so many people, regardless of how much money is actually coming in, have nothing to show for it. Everything that comes in goes out. It's a kind of urgency based, reactive, non-intentional, chaotic system. Because you're not intentionally directing it, and this is where I like to refine the metaphor from a river to irrigation systems. You need to be able to have the structure that intentionally directs it so that you don't end up just making ends meet and you actually have the overflow to direct toward your future, toward investments, toward a savings account that offers you a little bit of cushion, or whatever else feels important to you. Whatever you want to be funding, you have to get intentional and create the structure that supports the flow to make that possible. More broadly in business in general, without systems, without structure, every idea or opportunity takes so much energy to recreate from scratch, and this is why I am always on the soapbox of the magical spell casting that is SOPs that makes it possible, that holds you to be able to really focus on your creativity, your inspiration. Those things that flow through you that you love so much, you actually end up getting taken away from them or distracted from them when you're constantly having to reinvent the wheel of the structure that is part of their expression into their world of them becoming real. But instead, if you create systems and structure so that you don't have to constantly be putting mental energy and actual physical and time effort toward those things, you really are able to focus on what you love, your genius zone, your inspiration, your creativity. This is how earth's container is not about limitation. It's truly about holding space for the expansion of everything that matters so much to you. Now let's look at how taking full responsibility, another earth theme, grounding yourself in time and space and being willing to play the game here to win it your way, opens the door to more magic and more opportunity to do things your way, not less. Responsibility is so often misunderstood as heaviness or obligation, or again, the loss of, or opposite of freedom, but in reality, responsibility signals to yourself, to the universe, to Saturn, which I'm going to get into here in a minute, that you can be trusted with more. Money loves responsibility. The universe loves to see that you are responsible with your money because money wants to flow where it will be respected and cared for and put to good use. This is another biggie, if your, if the money that comes to you is. Just for you, selfishly, you're not going to be supported by the universe to expand your capacity to channel more. It's when the money that comes to you is going to serve greater causes, other people that the universe is like, oh, send more her way through her because it's going to channel through to all of these other places that need it. On the flip side, avoiding responsibility actually keeps you in survival mode. Where you are reacting, again, you're in that urgency mode, you're kind of scrambling based on whatever's right in front of you. You don't really have a plan and you're never able to feel secure enough to actually dream bigger and to make a plan to get yourself to that bigger vision that you are barely able to tune into. That's how these dots connect. Your bigger dreams, your bigger visions, the places that your creative mind and your inspiration leads you to imagine the only way that you are actually going to get there, to make it real here, so that you can live inside of it, is if you ground it into the earth element, and you get responsible enough with your relationship to the money that's going to fund your way to get there, that you can actualize it, and that you can do so every step of the way that's going to get you there. It makes me think of these visual growth graphics memes that I've seen where if you have a ladder where the rungs are too far apart, you can't even climb it, it's not going to get you where you want to go. The rungs have to be close enough together, and you have to be willing to take each step up the ladder or up the staircase, small enough baby steps that you can actually take each step from here to there so that you can get there. When it comes to responsibility with your money, we're talking about having a money practice that you ritually and rhythmically tune into where your awareness is where it needs to be, so you know what's coming in, you know what's going out, and you're able to make decisions ahead of time of how that's all going to flow and function so that it supports those bigger visions. This all highlights the paradox that the more grounded you are, the more consistent you are, the more room you actually create for yourself to be able to play, to create, to call in magic, and to have the kind of white space that you really want to create the freedom lifestyle that you started this whole thing for in the first place. This brings us to my Saturn return story, where I traded the swirl for stability and how it really did make my magic stronger. So at one point I was fully in the swirl, which is something that we called just being absolutely available for whatever we felt called from moment to moment, wherever the party was, wherever the people were, whatever inspired me in the moment to move toward. This is a time when I lived in a van, so it was really easy to do. Relatively, very much less grounded than I am now having a home. I had a rotation that I did between transformational music festivals and hot springs to recover and trim scenes where I would go and work for a couple weeks at a time to make a stack of cash and basically just repeated that rinse and repeat cycle over and over as needed and as I felt called every step of the way. Honestly, it was a special time. I felt really connected to my intuition, to the cosmic energies and tides that I was riding, and really to endless freedom, but I had no roots and I was very ungrounded. And because I was always just on from one thing to the next, to the next, I didn't have a home base in myself really to be able to truly rest or integrate. I was always on the move, always in the flow, always in the swirl. This sets the stage for something that I found out is actually less common for many and was a bit of a reverse spiritual awakening. Most people are more rooted in the 3D and groomed in the way this world has a tendency to groom us and then they have a spiritual awakening that is more out of the 3D into 4D, 5D discovering themselves, the cosmic energies, all these things, right? Typically, it's in that direction. My Saturn return was my spiritual awakening and went in the opposite direction because as I've described the stage set here, I was very much not in 3D, not rooted in 3D. And then Saturn came during my Saturn return, and it was such a clear guidance, such a clear message and opportunity and invitation essentially, that I had to consent to, to put this all in motion. Which was to retire my van life, get a home, get grounded, start my tax practice, and become financially and structurally responsible to be able to ground the magic that I had been exploring. Basically, the message was that I could keep going out there seeking it, or I could finally ground myself to be a receiver of it here. As you can probably imagine, it was a bit surprising. To some it might've seemed like selling out, but what actually happened for me was my nervous system was able to relax, my creativity was able to massively deepen because it wasn't being applied to constantly figuring out where my next move was. My cosmic connection felt so much more potent because it actually had a grounded container to receive it. In short, I became so much more of the potential me, and that's the earth element's gift. When your energy has a home, it can expand in ways that you just can't when you're ungrounded or un rooted. So much of this was getting more real, more serious, more Saturn-like and grown up around my relationship with money, starting my tax practice. If you've been feeling like your relationship to money, whatever your current money practice is, is just kind of making it work as you go along, making it up and making it work month to month, or that you just can't seem to build the kind of stability that you need to really grow into the version of you that you're feeling called to in this season of your life. It's time to ground. That's exactly what Cosmic Currency is for. It's my signature program that weaves your astrological design with the grounded systems and financial structure that lets you feel safe and expansive. Inside of it, together with my one-to-one support, you'll create a money practice that not only works in the 3D world, aka is compliant, but also feels aligned with the deepest truth of who you are and allows you to set up systems so that you feel successful in your business and you're able to through it fund what really matters to you. If you have yet to get the money stuff and money side of your business sorted, I would love to support you to start building your foundation inside of Cosmic Currency. You can enroll and find out more at cosmicb.link/currency. Because as a former tax preparer of almost a decade, one of my favorite expressions was pay to play. You have to be willing to play by the rules of the 3D game, of this world when it comes to being a business owner, which in this case involves paying taxes and setting up systems that maybe you've otherwise, up until now had an allergy to and an aversion to. But you do this and you make this decision to truly ground into and commit to being here and playing the game here so that you can expand into the version of yourself that this world needs and feel like you're winning your own game. Because money is just energy, but it's also part of the physical systems of this world. It truly is the bridge when it comes to business between the energetic and the material realms. Ignoring the rules of the game, which was so often the case for people that ended up finally coming to me to do their taxes when I was a tax preparer, doesn't actually free you from those rules. It just puts you at a disadvantage and sets you up to possibly get into some very expensive trouble should you get audited. By actually learning the basics, and it is quite basic, your avoidance has maybe made it seem like something much bigger than it is, of taxes and financial tracking and the kind of legal structures that you need to have in place to support your business entity. They give you leverage, they are the foundation from which you are able to create all of the things that you envision your business making possible. The earth element invites you to see those tools, not as constraints, but as levers that support your purpose. That's why the more fluently you are able to operate in these 3D systems, the more resources you can channel toward the things that you care about through you and to everything that matters. But the cool thing is when you work with me, you don't have to do this in the boring, stuffy way that's been a total turnoff to you until this point. Because when it comes to the cosmic weather and the snapshot of that weather that is your birth chart and your design, the seasons, the cycles, your birth chart, these become things you can also root into into the 3D, to simultaneously stay aligned with the flow, with the truth of who you are and what feels aligned for you, and through that alignment, you're able to build in a way that feels like a match to your magic and those realms that you don't want to have to give up to embrace the money stuff. The tool that I use is Western Astrology. One big reason for preferring this system and the Tropical Zodiac, is that it's anchored in the unchanging rhythm of the seasons. Which indeed is a bit of a paradox because the seasons are always shifting, but when it comes to mapping the cosmos, which is always expanding, you have to choose something that you're going to call constant. Because everything is relative to everything else, and it's always moving. This is just a brief little lesson of the difference between Vedic and Western, which both absolutely have their merits. One of the differences though, is that Vedic takes the star backdrop and the constellation and the fixed stars as what's constant and unchanging, Western roots into the constant of the seasons. One reason I love this so much is because it's the reason why we know Aries feels like spring, and we know what that feels like. Capricorn feels like winter, and that has a feeling too because these seasons, these Zodiac seasons are also anchored into our earth seasons. Earth energy absolutely thrives on these seasonal cycles of planting, growing, harvesting, and resting. When you align your business and your money rhythms with these natural patterns that are all part of what created you and the unique design that you embody through, it creates a kind of predictability without rigidity. It truly is the sweet spot of that paradox. It gives you a living, breathing foundation that feels like alignment. It's steady enough to hold you, but it's adaptable enough to move with change and move with you. The thing about business and how your money moves, it is not static, and it is not a linear progress either, right? The earth element is here to remind you that your foundation is not fixed in concrete. It's alive, it's seasonal, and it's regenerative just like the seasons, just like the moon cycles, and just like your own personal cycles. So if you take nothing away from this episode, remember that earth grounding systems, structures, responsibility, it is all meant to be a living, breathing, dynamic part of you, expression and extension of you that is supportive to all of the things that you want to make real through your business in this world. Grounding into it is such an important precursor to the rising, the expansion. So much of what we talked about in all of the elements that preceded this one in this series. Roots before rise. Structure before expansion. Earth is not here to limit you, it is here to hold you, and your magic wants to take root and to feel supported by the soil of the ground, it is meant to grow in. If you're ready to build a money practice that is safe enough to hold your biggest visions, step inside Cosmic Currency and let's grow it together at cosmicb.link/currency. Because until you have the money stuff dialed when it comes to your business, it's hard for it to really feel real or to co-create it to be the vehicle that's going to take you the distance into the bigger dreams that you're holding. I will catch you in the next one for the last episode of this series, the Ether Element
