It's Gemini season, and I'm gonna go a little meta with it in this episode by both talking about what is coming up for me as a mirror for you of what the invitation is of this sun season. And I'm gonna do it in pure Gemini style by just letting my perception, my thoughts, and the voice I give to it all meander and just see where it takes us That's what we're doing in today's Cosmic Coin Drop. First, as I love to do, let's get to the basics of the building blocks of what this Gemini archetype is, so that we can properly step inside of it and cut through any potential, like, pop culture programming we might be holding around it Because Gemini is all about illuminating the blind spots, and this approach is super helpful to enter with more curiosity instead of starting from a more limited scope of what we're looking at here. So with Gemini, it is the air element expressing through the mutable mode. Air element, we're talking about the space of our thoughts, the intellect, the mental realm of existence. With the mutable mode, we're looking at this dynamic, cyclical, momentous process that happens in that space through blind spots getting illuminated or new ideas being presented to us, that then enter the matrix of perceptions and thoughts that we're already working with, to connect them in new ways, to think new things from them, and to be ever evolving the narratives that we're working with. And that happens often seamlessly beginning with our viewpoint and our unique perspective that is where we're at in any given moment with that process, and then how that generates thoughts based on it, and then how those thoughts are expressed into words so they can become part of the mental dance with other people. And that dance that's happening with other people or can also happen solo is the dance of the twins, otherwise known as the two poles of duality. So it's often this back and forth dance of this or that. If you're a Gemini or you know one, the pop culture thing around them being two-faced in kind of the nasty word for it, but more neutrally being kind of like flip-floppers, is kind of real. My husband's a Gemini. My sister's a Gemini. And since they're some of the closest people to me, this means both that I'm very familiar with this energy and also have been really influenced by it. And that's where I wanna come from today to flip the script on any judgment you might have toward that in yourself, to embrace it a little bit more this Gemini season and see what happens I've been noticing myself reflect on my past, the different seasons and eras and lives lived in this one, and how it really has been a kind of back and forth flip-flopping between extremes. But that, that has been kind of the, the engine of momentum behind my growth in these particular ways. The first is in structure versus flow. And so you can see with this one, like any other like it, neither side is wrong, nor is the answer to find the perfect balance and harmony between the two. Oftentimes, the best path is more of a winding spiral back and forth that deepens into one and then the other in succession. know for me with this one, there's been different times in my life that it's felt really right to be more in flow, more surrendered and receptive to the guidance that's directing and animating me. And there's been other times that I'm like, "Oh my goodness, can somebody please just tell me what to do?" Or times that I've felt really called to create structure for myself that I submit to be completely guided by. And, you know, sometimes it's circumstantial. One of the times I just wanted to be told what to do was postpartum after having my son. My brain was so mushy, and I was pivoting from my previous business, and I just was not in the space to be in the driver's seat, like, figuring sh*t out. So I took a contractor position for another company and totally thrived there until I felt the call to swing to the other side and enter that uncertain space of flow again. My next example is the flip-flop in my life between youth and maturity that's noteworthy because it didn't happen linearly. I first grew up really fast At 19, I was in a super straight edge relationship that might as well have been a marriage. I bought a home, I was working at a mortgage company and basically acting like such a grownup at that young .Age Then I entered into a kind of second childhood where I was living in a van, I was dancing, I was exploring my inner and outer worlds via psychedelics at festivals, and just, like, playing really hard And, you know, there's more to that story. Eventually that got boring and I was ready to grow up again, started doing taxes. Suffice it to say, this is another one of those where, like, the flip-flop back and forth was my path and is what got me to where I am now, which I love. And the other one I want to bring into this is the financial ups and downs and the feelings that may go up and down with that. Because if you don't have a regular paycheck, if you are an entrepreneur, then this is probably how it's gonna go down for you sometimes. And when it does, first of all, broad stroke, know that you're not a failure. It's literally part of the game. But also in this way I've been talking about, I think it's a really important part of what creates the momentum, the presence, the strategic creativity that keeps the game so vital Like try and fall asleep on a rollercoaster, right? And until this becomes more normalized for you on your entrepreneurial journey, it can also come with some serious emotional ups and downs. And you know, honestly, that's okay too Because it's the gratitude at the top that keeps us going in one way, and the oh sh*t at the bottom that motivates us in a very different way And I really believe, and you may find if you think back with this lens that it happens like that to support us. Just like the waves of light or energy vibrating, we too are riding these ups and downs in these different ways, as a kind of alignment with a natural phenomenon. That's the stuff of, I don't know, vitality. It's really all there is And yeah, maybe we find relative peace and stability in one area to be able to give more of our focus and bandwidth into the more extreme waves of another, but I think that's all part of this perfect symphony as well. And so during this Gemini season, when you find yourself particularly whipped around, see if you can find the settle that's available in just accepting whatever part of the wave you're on. Because the freshness that Gemini brings into the equation is what makes these waves of life and business so fun to ride.
